Fulvous Whistling-duck

Dendrocygna bicolor

Dendrocygna have all long necks and legs. Some of them regulary perch in trees. Formerly they were called tree-ducks. Also gregarious ducks and often seen in flocks mixed with other wistlingducks.

The Fulvous Whistling-ducks are in serious decline in Venezuela and seen mainly as singles or as a pair. Usually stands on ground rarely in trees, to rest.
